Lately, everyone’s been complaining about how much the quality of the service we pay for has dropped, and the worst part is that it happened after we’d already paid. It’s not like there was a notice saying, “Hey, we’re downgrading this and that starting next month, just so you know before renewing your subscription".

Just wanna say thanks to the "skill issue", and the "just pay more or don't use it if you don't like it" bros that were acting like Sam Altman himself pays for their bills when this enshitification started.

No, no one wanted to build an Amazon competitor with a $20 subscription. And yes, we all know "but compute is expensive and subsidized.” That’s not the point. The point is knowing what kind of service you’re paying for and not having it change without notice AFTER you’ve already paid for it.
