Leap in the dark - Portal crash

TLDR - Game crashes me back to the xbox dashboard during quest. Tried all online suggestions. Anyone have any success with fixing this.

Xbox series X -

So I am trying to progress the 'Leap in the dark' main mission. I have completed the 3/3 leylines step. I have the portal active and everytime i step into it, it gets to what feels like tge very last second of the teleport and the game crashes me out to the xbox dashboard. I have tried

- Disabling multiplayer

- Going offline completely

- Turning all my 4k/HDR settings off

- Hard reset the console amd power cycled it

- I have reset the mission once (Note, it didn't show the red symbol next to the mission but it allowed me to reset, im hoping that if i black hole jump far enough (I tried two jumps) that it will eventually give it me?)

- Using exocraft (online suggestion, they don't even fit).

I'm really hoping someone here has found a work around for this. I have tried searching online and I have tried everything suggested, I've exhausted AI to the point I think it is fed up with me.

I am a long time player returning and I am very happy with the 70 hours I have made in this save file, I dont want it to be bricked by the inability to progress.

PLEASE HELP.
