How should I study as an 800 elo player?

I am a casual chess player, and I just play on chess.com. I have reached a point where my elo is stagnating, and I figure in order to keep improving I will need to start studying chess. How should I go about doing that? I would like to study in a way that's actually interesting, not just memorizing a bunch of stuff. Thanks!
