Genuine question for the veterans of the sims 2

Tldr: How do those of you who played sims 2 since its prime era still play the game??

Hear me out before you cancel meee. So my first sims game was the sims 4 which i got as a gift in 2017 (theoretically i grew up watching sims 3 on youtube cuz i could not have it) and i suppose you could say that the nostalgia people feel for the sims 2 is what i feel for the sims 4

I played sims 4 base game only for like a good amount of time until like 2019-2020 when i decided to give the sims 2 a go and i was HOOKED

The thing is i feel like i played this game so much these past 7 years that i just feel bored out of my mind when it comes to it (to the point where my sim cheating on their partner autonomosly is just a normal tuesday)

This is probably me coming from sims 4 and 3 but i just feel like the cas is so limited but even so my hot take is the aspirations and personality system. I just got so sick of the same 6 aspirations because i feel like no matter what you do you end up with the same 6 sims with only their clothes and features being a lil diferent (the serial cheater, the family pal, the rich one, the popular sim and the always out and about and also the nerd) with each depending if you complete the aspiration or not which for me got repetitive really fast...and the personality points system also never felt that impactful or immersive to me.

The lore and all is also the best i ve ever seen but i feel like pleasantview has been done to death rightfully so in a way cuz the other hoods never felt as good as pleasantview, overall its kind of an old formula for me?

Don t get me wrong i LOVE this game with all my heart and i can see why people love it but i genuenly feel like i saw everything it had to offer in a way? (probably did not help that i played each dlc individually to the fullest either) so i guess i gotta say that i m suprised when i hear people still playing it constantly since release?

Then again it could be that i m more of a new gen simmer which is just more used to ts3 and ts4 (well less ts4 cuz i have a lot of thoughts when it comes to it) so i don t know

Overall...any thoughts?
