I need to turn off translations.

I have my phone set to english since it's easier to manage basically everything whilst having english installed, easier to troubleshoot whatever doesn't work and easier to use.

But I've been plagued by Uber wanting to auto translate everything I send to drivers. (I'm a passenger)

Today I did my request and the driver was a few meters ahead and was going to do a whole block turn since that's the app policy, I quickly sent him a "Wait" in our language and then the next text block was that I was coming to him.

He told me that the "Wait" I sent him was translated to "cash" for some reason. The word doesn't sound like this in english, he was confused because the thought I wanted to pay him using cash. I had to do a whole explanation of why my phone is in english and this mistranslation.

This story is apart from the many messages I receive which are completely nonsense to me. Drivers send me the most insane messages and I have to imagine what they tried saying.

Auto translations are a cancer on all services and users MUST have a way to cull them if wanted.
