Long distance hope needed

I have just started a long distance relationship with my boyfriend today. We are very lucky it’s not too far, only 5 hours by train and no time distance. Despite this, I am still obviously sad.

Any hope and/or positive stories about long distance would be appreciated. I just need a boost instead of being told that long distance never ever works.
