I’m really nervous about my boyfriend meeting my dad

My boyfriend (21M) and I (20F) have been together for a year and 2 months. I met his family within the first few months, and I could tell he felt a little insecure that I still hadn’t introduced him to mine, so I told him I’d do it soon.

My dad mentioned a few months ago that he wanted to meet him, but I told him to wait.

I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but I’m so nervous about them meeting. My dad is pretty judgmental and tends to form opinions about people really quickly, and I’m scared they won’t get along.

I love my boyfriend and my family so much, and I genuinely don’t want this to become a problem. I’m scared my dad won’t like him, and I have no idea what I’m supposed to do or say if that happens. The whole thing just feels really awkward and stressful.

TL;DR: I love both my boyfriend and my family, but I’m terrified they won’t get along when they finally meet, especially because my dad can be very judgmental.
