Hi everyone!

I’m conducting a student research project on multitasking and distraction, and I’m looking for participants for a short anonymous survey.

The study is based on a simple question:

When we’re doing an important task, what makes us decide that another activity is a “distraction”?

For example, listening to music while studying, organizing notes while studying, checking something unrelated, etc. Is something a distraction because it takes attention away? Because it interferes with the main task? Because it feels irrelevant? Or do people judge these things differently?

The survey has a few questions about your own experiences with multitasking, followed by short everyday scenarios where you’ll give your opinion.

⏱️ Time: \~8–12 minutes

👥 Participants: 15+

🔒 Anonymous: No names, emails, phone numbers, or identifying information are required

🎓 Purpose: Student research project

There are no right or wrong answers. I’m specifically interested in your personal judgment.

Please only complete the survey once, and please answer based on your own judgment rather than searching for “correct” answers.
