This was the first book on my list of recommendations so just know I’m not picking favorites.
The title: very clear, tells you exactly what you’re getting yourself into. Respectable.
The book: Scott Fraley does a good job breaking down gold, silver, and other metals without making me feel like I’m supposed to build a bunker and start trading canned beans for silver coins.
I particularly appreciated the discussion around diversification, economic conditions, and the practical side of actually buying and selling metals. Some sections could probably be tightened up, and experienced investors may find portions fairly basic, but that is also clearly the point of the book.

Overall, this is a useful starting point for anyone curious about precious metals
