Give infantry a way to know which pilots they can trust
I'd really like to see some kind of simple pilot rating displayed on the helicopter.
Not to punish people for flying or learning, but so infantry can tell who they can trust.
The rating could look at things like:
* Troops delivered / survived
* Pilot and aircraft survival
* Pilot-caused passenger deaths
* Successful insertions
* Talon locks/missiles evaded
* Performance in contested/hot zones
I'd give a small bonus to landing over paradrop, since keeping the squad together is generally more useful. But **survival and judgement should matter much more than the insertion method**. A safe paradrop into a Talon-covered area should absolutely beat a suicidal landing.
I'd also heavily reward surviving hot-zone insertions. Getting six people into a dangerous area and getting them out alive should mean a lot more than doing six safe FOB runs.
The main thing is that I don't want to discourage flying. I just want to discourage pilots from treating the infantry as expendable.
Basically, just a little emblem plastered on the heli that says:
**"This pilot has a good track record. You can trust them."**
As a pilot main, it does hurt a little when my infantry are actually excited that I'm landing them instead of chucking them out at altitude. That's not a great experience for infantry players, and I think this system could help with that.
The goal isn't to punish players for flying how they can or how they want to. It's to give infantry some information before they climb into a stranger's helicopter with **$10,000 worth of kit on them.**
