Considering move to AUS - SaaS sales on WHV

As the title suggests, I’m considering moving to Australia and working in SaaS sales.

Bit of background, I did a WHV in New Zealand (working hospitality jobs) and loved it. I have 2 years experience in SaaS sales in the UK.

Essentially, I want to make the move to Australia and work in SaaS sales over there, however I’m unsure how realistic the move is. My thinking is, get Working Holiday Visa, find SaaS job whilst still in UK, work there for 6 months on the WHV (maximum allowed), then get employer to sponsor full visa (skills in demand visa I think).

Has anyone here experienced something similar? Where they’ve used the WHV to get initial work exposure in their experienced industry (rather than farm work etc) and then get employee sponsorship for longer stay.
