Looking for a local jeweler who will unset and reset a stone for me

Took my ring to a couple of places to check for inscription on the girdle of the diamond. There is either no inscription or it is hidden under a prong. The places I took the ring to said they couldn't unset the stone to look for the inscription because they'd have know way to reset it properly. So I'm looking for a trusted local jeweler who would be willing to do this for me.
