Do you only close the main zipper or all zippers when washing your Adidas-clothes inside out?

I ask my mom about washing clothes and zippers, and said you should always close all zippers. Now I do wash my Adidas track pants, tracker suits and hoodies inside out, and close the main zipper of the tracker suits/hoodies. I mostly forget the little zippers on the the side of the track pants and the pockets on the tracker suits/hoodies.

Now is this bad and harmful for the little zippers? What is your experience and how do you wash your Adidas-clothes when it comes to zipping the zippers or not? Experience any damage if you haven't done that for years? Or something not to worry about? Any different approach in Adidas-metal and -plastic zippers?
