Hello Fallen! My name is Michael, I'm a 25-year-old guy (he/him/his) and I am looking for players for a Demon: The Fallen Chronicle set in New York City, 2016. We will be playing the official DTF game and not the fanmade 20th Anniversary Edition, so please keep this in mind.

This is a repost of an advertisement I posted some weeks ago. The group has unfortunately lost some players, but rest assured we haven't had our first session yet, so you won't be joining mid-Chronicle. The current group composition is: 1 Defiler and 2 Slayers.

This is an LGTBQ+ and BIPOC friendly space. As a proud member of both communities, I will not tolerate hate or bigotry at my table. So, bigots need not apply.

DISCLAIMER: This is my FIRST TIME as a Storyteller and my first time running a TTRPG game period. Mistakes are bound to be made, but I promise to try my best and give this my all, so all I ask in return is some patience.

SYSTEM: We will be playing on Roll20 and using Discord to chat and meet for the games.

SETTING: The setting is New York City in 2016, but it is inspired by a sort of 90s grunge-y city like seen in The Crow, Spawn, Sin City, etc. It is a dark and gritty city, but not entirely hopeless and modern enough that having basic tech is common.

THE CHRONICLE: The Chronicle picks up about a month after everyone in the party was released from the Abyss and so players have had enough time to set systems up (or not) to adapt, for the most part, to modern society and maybe even snag some Thralls. However, you haven't been around long enough to make a name for yourself or join any of the Fallen power systems that exist in the city. You are all independent Fallen living your lives, but something or other may occur to bring you all together. This brings us to our first session. The plan is to have each player play out a brief introductory scene and then something will occur that might attract your attention. The group will meet and (ideally) form a group, but whatever happens depends on the players, of course. If you'd rather not form a group, that's okay too. From there, you will be part of the city's Fallen community and interact with some truly villainous demons, and some other supernaturals that call the city home. Expect some splat crossovers, for those who enjoy that!

GROUP COMP: So far, I've accepted 3 players, we lost 2 others. I am looking for 5 total, ideally. The group composition, as mentioned above, is 1 Defiler and 2 Slayers, one of Death and the other of Spirits. One Slayer is playing a private investigator while the other is playing a sickly opera flautist, while the Defiler is playing a former music artist struggling to find their place in the city.

COMBAT: This Chronicle is bound to have more combat than your usual WOD chronicle. I like combat, what can I say? Demons have awesome powers; I want you to have all the chances you can get to show them off. Otherwise, it will be mostly investigating mysteries, murders, and the movement of other monsters.
