Cats do better with each other when we’re out of town?
Heyo!
For starters I wanna make it clear that our cats don’t get into genuine squabbles, one is just a lot more rude when we are home.
I’ve had my cat Honey for 4 years almost 5 and me and my partner decided to get another cat together recently to potentially have a friend for her energy needs.
Honey is very jealous with me and slightly jealous with my partner. She isn’t aggressive, but certainly peeved and will do a “drive by” of baps if she notices, me specifically, giving our new cat (Lady) pets.
We went out of town for a couple weeks and I was nervous that the change would cause regression in their relationship, which I warned the cat sitter about. My sitter send me pics and videos of them getting along better than they ever have. Rubbing on each other, laying closer, etc.
Literally as soon as we got back Honey was very jealous whenever I would give Lady attention. Again nothing serious, but I’m curious if there is anything I can do to adjust this dynamic.
I’d love for them to be pals, and it seems plausible, but idk if my presence is hindering that process.
Any advice is welcome!
