Came out to my friends

The quick back story: My Asian-American immigrant family is not accepting of trans people, so I have started life over in another state. For a long time only my best friend and roommate, also a trans woman, knew who I really was. It took me years of therapy to recover my confidence and identity and to cut ties with my family.

Today I came out to friends in my TTRPG group. They were warm, kind, and very supportive. I couldn't believe it. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop but it never did. Some people actually will just accept you as you are.
