Years had passed, and dozens of pregnancy tests had failed. For some godforsaken reason, we just couldn't manage to get pregnant. So, desperate for answers, we went to a specialist and got the news we were dreading.

Somehow, you had developed a disorder preventing ovulation. Everything was there, but for some reason, your ovaries won't release any eggs. The news hit us as expected, we were devastated. We had always dreamed of having a big family, and this news effectively took our dream and killed it. But then our doctor suggested something: There was a research facility currently looking for willing subjects in a test of an artificial womb. Once the womb was constructed, they'd implant some embryos and the subject could carry a pregnancy. Obviously, we were overjoyed at the news, but there was a catch: The trial was only accepting male subjects. Despite my hesitation, we realized that this was likely our only chance to live out our dream, so I made my peace with it and we were signed up.

This story will see us start the trial and will have me impregnated via an artificial womb. As for how it will work or what actually happens to me during the pregnancy, I'm open to a lot, and I'm generally wanting to be surprised. After all, this is experimental: who knows how this will affect me?

I love pregnancy. I'm constantly fantasizing about the day I can be impregnated, when I can grow a baby bump, or that day I can first hold that bundle of joy.. But biology says otherwise.
