Hi, thankful for any advice/help!! Questions re: CalFresh (Los Angeles County) ABAWD mental health expemption…

Can the “letter” be from my licensed therapist, or must it be from my psychiatrist?

Either way, is there some kind of template or form that said professional should write/fill-out + sign? Or, does something like a simple “I deem (name) should be exempt from the ABAWD requirement for CalFresh due to their mental health diagnoses” with a signature suffice?

If the exemption is approved, does it have to be re-submitted/approved every 3 months?

I’m sorry if these are stupid questions :/ Just trying to navigate all the information on the website… My caseworker made it sound pretty vague, and almost too simple if that makes sense? No blame on them of course! I should have inquired more thoroughly on the phone but am going to keep trying to get ahold of them again.
