School admissions anxiety

Anybody else out there losing sleep over their Y6’s secondary application?

Based on the last 3 years worth of admissions my child would have got their preferred school, with the criteria going 20-30 places beyond their category.

But the school is always over allocated and I know this year could be even more competitive and I can’t help but worry.

I’m trying to be pragmatic about it. We’re going to visit 3 potential schools. But short of some miraculous house move which improves our chances in the next 3-4 months - I’m going to be a wreck by the time March 1 comes round and we finally find out.
