Cam Brown love

I’m still having fun celebrating our big win and, equally importantly, the catastrophe that waned over our dear Buckeyes this evening, but needed to shoutout one of the most important players on our roster.

Our punter, Cam Brown, put on an absolute clinic today. Not one but TWO punts downed on the 1 yard line? All 5 punts downed within the opposing 20 yd line? Not one touch back? This kid was arguably one of the most important players on the field today, he put Oklahoma in so many high pressure situations today and gave the defense many opportunities to force ugly plays.

After a disappointing few seasons with Doman and Hollenbeck, it’s clear we finally have an impact player that can flip the field consistently and put our opponents in terribly tricky spots. People talk about complimentary football between offense and defense, but I think the true complimentary football we may see this season will be between Cam Brown and our defense forcing ugly turn-overs in plus territory, quick 3 and outs with short field positions going the other way and a play-style that
completely suffocates our opponents.

Thank you Cam for choosing to be a Wolverine and thank you for giving us a lethal weapon on special teams that our defense will feast on all season!
