question!!! hook up culture

hi! curious how do hook ups work here? hindi ba kayo scared what if kakilala niyo yung other person, or what if catfish pala, or dugyot (😕) ..or worst, masamang tao sila? tas yung risks na baka they are gonna secretly film u, STDs, and such.

i know u have to be vigilant pero i think swertihan lang din. please enlighten me! count na rin natin yung mga may irl encounters sa bar, etc... do u guys talk ba agad about sa boundaries before going somewhere else? or on the spot lang na "waitt di pa ko ready here"
