Nokia waist strap?

Looking to get my first Savotta, the Niukka, but I’m coming from a similiar sized backpack that has a simple waist strap, which helps a lot in transferring weight to the hips on long hikes. Would adding this to the Niukka be possible or would it make the lower backpack strap connector too busy?
