What Are Some Simple AI App Ideas Worth Building First?
I’ve been thinking about building an app with AI, but I keep coming across ideas that seem way too complicated for a first project. It got me wondering if it’s better to start with something small that actually solves a simple problem.
I’m thinking about apps that don’t need a huge team or a complicated system behind them, but can still be useful in everyday life. Some ideas that seem worth exploring are:
- A meal planner that creates recipes from the ingredients you have
- A simple study app that turns notes into quizzes or flashcards
- A personal expense tracker that categorizes spending
I think a good first AI app should have a clear purpose, a small number of features, and something you can actually test with real users. There’s probably no point building 20 features before knowing whether people even want the basic idea. If you were building your first AI app today, what simple idea would you start with?
