Outland applicant received PPR, then P1 email the next day

Hi everyone,

I’m an outland CEC applicant and I received my Passport Request (PPR) from IRCC. However, the very next day, I also received a P1 email (PR Confirmation Portal invitation).

I understand that for outland applicants, PPR is normally the expected process, so I’m trying to understand why I received a P1 email after already receiving PPR.

Has anyone else experienced this?

If you received PPR first and then P1 shortly afterward, did you proceed with replying to the P1 email, or did you not reply to it?

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has been in the same situation and what you decided to do with the P1 email.
