Legion 5 15ARH05 Won’t Boot Most of the Time
When I press the power button, the screen doesn't light up with the Lenovo logo, and the Caps Lock light doesn't turn on/off. The laptop fans spin though, and it does not boot up most of the time. The only things that work in this state are the Fn+Q and Fn+Spacebar functions.
The laptop also has had a history of problems before this problem came to be. I don't know if all of this is connected, but I've basically been dealing with GPU/display-related crashes for a while now.
The laptop is a Lenovo Legion 5 15ARH05 with a Ryzen 5 4600H, GTX 1650 Ti, and 32 GB DDR4 RAM.

the screen started to get black lines and visible discolored pixels before all this happened. This is probably just my screen hardware deteriorating from heat damage or something else, but it might be linked idk 🤷

Previously, I would occasionally get complete black-screen crashes while gaming(light and heavy games, encoders like discord and medal). The audio would stutter first then continue for a while, and the fans would suddenly ramp up at the same time before I had to force the laptop off. Some of the crashes i got when letting the laptop shutdown on its own were associated with NVIDIA driver errors (`nvlddmkm`) and LiveKernelEvents, including 141 and 117. I also had a 0x117 VIDEO_TDR_TIMEOUT_DETECTED BSOD in the past.
I've already tried things like DDU/reinstalling NVIDIA drivers, OCCT VRAM and 3D testing, and repasting/servicing the cooling system. None of those fixed the issue.

then at this point, a red hue started appearing on the corners of my screen, then burn in happens when brightness is too high on bottom screen, and screen flickers when i play roblox.... Again probably just hardware but im gonna add it here incase it might be linked to all this

Recently, I had to completely open and rebuild the laptop because of an ant infestation(the foam things are almost GONE😭). After rebuilding it, I started having much worse problems🥲. Sometimes it would power on with a black screen like what i mentioned at the start, with the backlight working but no Lenovo logo, and it would take multiple power cycles before it would actually boot.
I also experienced 2 BSODs in a short period, once for each bootup:
* PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (0x50) then it crashed, and i decided to turn it on again. Then;
* UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP (0x7F)
Windows eventually went into automatic repair, and I was able to boot into Safe Mode. However, even Safe Mode eventually froze.
I also noticed something really concerning when i booted it up again: when I physically flexed/bent the laptop chassis, the screen would produce black/green box-like artifacts and then freeze. I stopped doing this after realizing it could potentially make the problem worse.
I rebuilt the laptop again, making sure all the connectors and screws were properly seated/tightened. After that, the screen artifacts stopped, but the laptop still freezes randomly.
During one freeze, the keyboard was still responsive and Ctrl+Shift+Win+B caused the Windows graphics-driver reset sound, but the display didn't recover. On another freeze, the keyboard became completely unresponsive, although Fn+Q still worked.
I also tried removing one RAM stick and leaving only the other stick installed in the second RAM slot. The laptop then managed to boot, although it still isn't completely stable.
At this point I'm wondering if this is a RAM/slot issue, motherboard issue, GPU/VRAM issue, display/eDP connection issue, or something else entirely.
I tested just now if it also freezes in BIOS, and, although it did once yesterday, thankfully it doesnt anymore today.
i plan on carrying this laptop into a lenovo service store near my area when i get time for diagnosing
Any ideas on what I should test next or what component is most likely failing, or even what is happening with my pc? LOL self diagnosing this laptop mightve been the wrong decision
