Welcome to the new Daily Recommendation and Short Question Thread!

To help navigation throughout the post, start your comment with: "Looking for Recs" or "Short Question," and tag all spoilers. >!Don't know how? Check the bottom of this post.!<

New to Danmei and looking for your next read? Check out our Beginner Danmei Rec List, or the Licensed Works List to explore multiple titles, publishers, and their distribution info.

Seeking Recommendations Best Practices

When asking for recommendations, try to avoid minimalistic questions:

• Recs like TGCF?
• Recs like ERHA?

Try expanding on what you like about those novels:

• Character Dynamics (older/younger, long unrequited love, power differences, personality traits)
• Plot style or tropes you enjoy or dislike (More/less angst, romance, misunderstandings, etc)
• Sub-genre's you do or don't want recommended (Modern, Historical, Esports)

If you've already read similar recs, mention additional titles to help avoid people recommending something you may have already read.

Short Questions Guidelines

Have a quick question about something? Try asking it here before making a post. This might include something like:

• Does ERHA ever get better? Should I keep reading it?
• If I liked YUWU, would I like Thousand Autumns?
• I'm looking to avoid [Trigger], does [Title] have that?

New to Fan Translations, and someone mentioned Novelupdates (NU)?

Per security measures on NU, you must make a free account or be logged in to access translations. NU does not host them directly: you must click "C1" or any chapter link to be redirected to the translation.

• Locked chapters cannot be posted on NU, so not all TLs are on NU
• See the Translation Status on NU for "Is translation complete?" before potentially starting an in-progress TL
• See the Licensed Status on NU, if the links are dead/removed it may be because the work is licensed.
• More Pay-to-read websites are beginning to link to NU. This means the end of the translation will ask you for money. These websites are illegal as they profit from content they do not own. Instead, consider Buying the Raws to support the author and self-MTLing.

Please remember to mark all spoilers. >!How?!<

On Mobile app/Markdown Editor: use >!spoiler!< which becomes spoiler <--click or tap. Make sure not to leave a space between >! and your text or the formatting won't work correctly.

On PC/Rich Text Editor: Click A at the bottom to "show formatting options", and the spoiler button is the exclamation mark. Click it and start typing, then turn it off when done, or, highlight an already typed section of text and apply the spoiler.
