Android to Iphone RCS audio format changed?? How can I get it back to playable audio instead of .mp4?

Iphone user here wondering if anyone can help tell me what to change on my end so that my friends audios are playable on my end instead of a separate .mp4 file I have to download.

I haven’t been able to find much on this issue, just one unanswered question on apple forums from a year ago. I am hoping this subreddit will be more knowledgeable in getting an iphone to work normally w rcs messaging. About a month ago I was receiving playable audios in my text thread with my friend until it changed completely to a traditional audio file. Its a bit annoying for me so I am trying to see what I can do since it is most likely apple being finicky with a non-iphone

Any suggestions? 🙏
