Shimoda Action X30 vs X40 for international carry-on & hiking (Sony 200-600mm + Sigma 35 1.2)?
Searching for real-world experience between the Shimoda Action X30 and X40 for international travel (carry-on) and multi-day hiking.
The Gear:
- 2 bodies: Sony A7R V + Sony A7 V
- Sony 200-600mm
- Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II
- Sigma 35mm f/1.2
What I need to know:
- Can the X30 realistically hold this entire kit and still leave roll-top space for a light jacket and trail essentials, or is the X40 a must?
- How reliably does the X40 pass as an international overhead carry-on without raising flags?
I am also open to other backpack suggestions if you run a similar setup.
Appreciate any feedback!
