questions about the rescheduled ca shows

okay first of all I love dan and phil and I do NOT want a refund lol. I have tickets to both SF shows and I fully intend on going whenever they get rescheduled.

I also don’t blame them for the postponement at all. visa issues happen and obviously none of this was the plan. I’m mostly just sad because I was supposed to see them this weekend, so that might be coloring my feelings a little lol.

I’m also lucky because I live in SF, so I didn’t have flights or hotels or anything booked. this really hasn’t cost me anything other than being disappointed.

BUT I am a huge principle of the matter person and I noticed Ticketmaster is saying the organizer isn’t allowing refunds right now, which feels kind of weird to me?

the shows were postponed on september 3 and there still aren’t new dates. I don’t think it’s unreasonable at all that they haven’t figured out new dates yet — it’s only been 9 days and I’m sure it’s a logistical nightmare. but from what I can tell, CA has pretty strong consumer protections around postponed events and people are supposed to be able to ask for their money back once a show is postponed (and sorry to the Phoenix girlies who are also stuck in rescheduling limbo 😭 this is just specifically about the CA shows because I know CA has pretty strong consumer protection laws)

again I personally do not want my money back!!! I want my tickets lol. but the visa issues aren’t the fans’ fault either, and some people probably did spend money on travel/hotels or just don’t want their ticket money sitting there indefinitely when there isn’t even a new date yet.

so mostly I’m just curious — can the organizer actually say no refunds while the shows are postponed? has anyone tried asking Ticketmaster for one?
