Just moved - cat is acting like a groundhog

Just bought my first home - actually my offer was accepted on my cats 9th bday. He’s moved tremendously throughout the years but the last three he’s been in same place. And the last three years he’s HATED it cause of the dog. Anyways I thought he’d be stoked when we moved into OUR home - like this is where he and I will be for at least a decade. Anyways we are a week in (well I’m a month in I wanted to get more of my scent here for him before he came here and I was lucky to have the ability to do that with him staying at my parents) anyways in like 7 hours it’ll have been a full 7 days he’s been here and he’s just as unnerved as he was when I first brought him. Idk if it’s his age at this point or what but like he’s still a young cat!!! He’s only 9!!! And he’s freaking burrowing under my bedspread like a freaking groundhog like he’s never done this before and like there’s literally no one here but him and I. And it’s a bit home. He will not come out unless I physically pick him out from under the sheets to being him to his food & litter. Then he goes and burrows again. Obviously there’s something he doesn’t like and idk what it is but idk what I can do rn because I’m drowning in house repairs that I’m doing myself and I truly thought he’d come around. I mean there’s zero way in hell I’d give him up so if anyone says anything along those lines go ahead and turn around. I just have done everything to make him feel at home but he’s just like not taking on and idk what else to do. Help.
