Am I in the wrong?

Got into med school and didn’t tell most of my extended family as it wasn’t official yet. Few weeks later when it was official, my mom ended up telling my aunt that I got into a school but didn’t specifically mention for what. And my mom told them that I will tell them. I was like wth? What was the point of mentioning it if you’re not gonna tell properly.

Few weeks later I ran into that my cousins and told them about the program and everything and of course they told at home but my aunt guys acted like they didn’t know.

My mom kept saying how I should tell my aunt myself and I’m like wtf? But I did when I saw her.

Now my mom was like don’t tell rest of your cousins, your aunt must’ve told and they’ll ask you. I was like wtf? If my aunt acted like she didn’t know then of course my cousins are gonna do the same. And then I said next time don’t say anything if you’re not gonna tell them properly and just throw me under the bus cause now I look like the bad guy.

She started yelling at me and saying how I keep calling her out. But am I really in the wrong? How is it my fault? I was gonna tell them once I officially got accepted anyway but she decided to tell and expects me to go around telling everyone.
