[REC] Finished Conqueror from a Dying Kingdom

I'm looking into my next read, just finished Conqueror from a Dying Kindom.

I liked that the arc was closed although I think the novel isn't officially finished and the medieval setting, although having read Bookworm some of the inventions were reused material for me.

I usually read pure fantasy I'd say but this was a cool genre to explore.

Here is a quick look at my taste based on what I have read:

Favorites

• Ascendance of a Bookworm: Loved the detailed progression, economy, and politics.
• Overlord: Great large-scale strategy and power dynamics.
• The Genius Prince's Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt: Fun political scheming and resource management.
• Re:Zero: Excellent psychological depth, great character growth and real tension.
• DanMachi: Good action and mythology.
• WorldEnd (SukaSuka): Tragic atmosphere and beautiful character work.
• Zaregoto: Very creative mysteries and the conversations feels smart.
• Amagi Brilliant Park: Loved the management challenge and humor.

Other series I enjoyed

• So I'm a Spider, So What?
• Rebuild World
• Classroom of the Elite
• The Saga of Tanya the Evil (Loved the military doctrine, though the prose can be a slog)
• Failure Frame
• That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime

Series I dropped

• Mushoku Tensei: Dropped around Volume 5 because I could not stand the main character.
• 86: Dropped after Volume 4 because it lost momentum for me.
• Torture Princess: Dropped at Volume 2. The dark tone felt forced.
