college attendance + exam (Need confirmation )

Monday is my first college mid-term exam. At the start of the semester, a teacher said we cannot sit for exams if our attendance is below 75%.Mine is around 72% to 73%. Seniors in 2nd or 3rd year, please tell me does this actually happen in mid-terms?

I feel like if it was a big deal, teachers would have messaged or warned me by now, but I haven't received anything.

Do they really block you, or do they let it slide? Please help!
