Extreme pain after first sound bath?

Question

I am wondering if experiencing debilitating pain following a sound bath is normal. I had my first sound bath experience a few days ago with a practitioner and experienced some mild hallucinations that started during the session (which is generally normal for me in meditative states) alongside some dull pain in my hips and shoulders. Following the session the pain increased until I was biting my pillows and screaming. I was barely able to sleep. I usually have an incredibly high pain tolerance and have even broken bones without realizing for several days so this was completely out of left field for me. This felt more intense than any bone I have broken by at least 5x. I was wondering if anyone has had similar experiences or could offer insight on how to prevent this in the future. I’m currently still having trouble sleeping because of the intensity of the pain although it is not as bad as it was on the first night.
