AITA for blocking this guy after he made a vague comment against my ethnicity ?

I (19F) couple months ago (like 5-6) met this guy in hellotalk (18M) from russia. He is the one who initially reached out. I also downloaded the app to learn russian, but again we had been talking for a couple months, even tho he doesn't speak english (I use translator) and our conversations have always been platonic. But here is where it gets kinda messy. We where couples weeks into talking we where talking about the differences in our countries. For extra context, I am a first generation american (from NY) but my family is originally from pakistan) and while we where in the topic or university and foreign exchange students, he mentions that his area, which he does live in a small russian town, has lots of indian and pakistani foreign exchange students, but " how thier not very nice people " word for word. I was so shocked by this, also for more context I am have a very western name and have a much lighter phentoype (pale skin dark brown hair) so I get i don't look the most pakistani. But i was so taken off by this, that i decided to slowly ghost him. when i did, he would start messaging me saying "why don't you write anymore". the more time went on he started bluntly saying "why aren't you responding " and just kept demanding a answer or that i respond to him. he would also just randomly type my name out. I don't know if this was a sense of entitlement, or what his guys intentions even are and why he's so eager. Our convos where always platonic anyways. but last month while i was in greece i decided to talk to him again since i felt bad, but he's in general such a dry and boring texter, with this and the comment her made couple months ago I decided to just block him. I also forget to mention that i also encountered other russian users on the hellotalk app who have made very racist remarks, and for those of you who don't know russia does have very deep systemic racism toward south and central asians. They even put up slavs only signs for apartment listings. But am I the asshole for blocking him? Again i kinda feel bad since he was a blantant racist and his comment was vague
