I know why people haven't thought of this one, (and yes I hate myself too for acknowledging Dustborn, Thumbnail made by me!)

Oh boy what can I say about these two assholes!

\**Billy and Pax both come from universes where history, and even time itself, never flowed correctly.*

Billy's world was forever changed by the Maelstrom in 1899, when a solar eclipse caused spirits to return to the plane of the living. The event also opened powerful Astral Gates, finally revealing the paranormal to the world and confirming that the supernatural was real.

Pax's world, meanwhile, diverged from our own after JFK's assassination went sideways. The operation failed to kill the president, instead killing his wife, setting the world on the path toward the utilitarian timeline in which Pax now lives.

\**Hatred of Authority*

Both Billy and Pax can be classified as punks/anarchists (~~even if Billy pays his taxes, the poser~~)

*\*Angry People Who Just Say Bupkiss*

Billy and Pax are two individuals who can get furious over the littlest things, yet somehow manage to say very little of substance. Billy is essentially a man with a megaphone and nothing to say, while Pax is someone who can keep talking and talking without actually saying anything at all.

^((Ok ok I'll stop, and actually get into some connections and contrasts))

\**Rebels who want a better world*

Billy and Pax are both people who genuinely believe that their governments, and the world around them as a whole, are corrupt and unfair, leading them to desire meaningful change. However, neither fully understands how to achieve that change on a broader scale, often allowing their frustration to manifest through anger, hatred, and rebellion.

\**Hearts of Gold under their roughness*

Billy and Pax are assholes. They just are. However, beneath their rough personalities are genuine moments of vulnerability, compassion, and intelligence. Billy is surprisingly knowledgeable, particularly when it comes to knowing that "Middle English" even exists, and has moments where he humbles himself in recognition of the skills and powers of his fellow teammates. Pax, despite her many genuinely bad moments, also shows that she deeply cares for her teammates, viewing them as something akin to a family.

*\*Supernatural Forces for a Better World*

Both Billy and Pax possess supernatural abilities that become deeply intertwined with their attempts to change the world around them. Billy embraces the Eldritch powers that have transformed him and ultimately seeks to summon a god, hoping to use its power to create a better world. Pax, meanwhile, is an "Anomal" whose supernatural voice powers give her the ability to directly affect the people around her, which she uses in her own attempts to force the world toward what she believes it should be.

\**Swinging for the big leagues*

Pax and Billy both use baseball bats as secondary weapons alongside their more prominent abilities: Pax can supplement her voice-based powers with a trusty bat, while Billy can resort to one alongside his SMG, Biquette.

\**Supernatural punks*

Both Billy and Pax are punks whose very natures are intertwined with the supernatural and occult. Pax is an "Anomal," possessing supernatural abilities that set her apart from ordinary people, while Billy's signature goat head is the result of the "Eldritch powers" that has become an intrinsic part of him.

\*Insufferable *and Obnoxious*

This is just unavoidable: both Billy and Pax are genuinely insufferable people. Billy calls himself an "Anarchist" yet still pays his taxes, is often angry simply for the sake of being angry, and tends to have a vague idea that the world is fundamentally wrong. He's a "punk" who causes riots and starts fires because HE says they need to be started, a contrarian who seems to think that hating something is the same thing as being interesting. Pax is no better, at times believing that the only way to get someone to do anything is to simply force them through her powers and command them around. She's also inexplicably hostile toward robots, even when they're completely harmless, such as the robots simply driving her tour bus, along with being needlessly hostile toward anyone who slightly disagrees with her point of view or toward basic authority figures like cops simply doing their jobs.

\***Contrasts**\*

\****Who's more Insufferable?***

Billy, while an insufferable jackass, is somehow less obnoxious than Pax, which is saying something if you know Billy. Yes, he stands for very little and spouts even less, but at least he's genuinely trying to do what he believes in, going as far as attempting to summon a god in hopes of wishing for a better world.

Pax, on the other hand, is very... very... annoying. She's constantly talking and throwing out one-liners that are often just god-awful, with her most infamous being "Bitch attack." She even has to say certain things aloud to make use of her voice powers, with the ultimate irony being that the game literally gives her a "Cancel Culture" command attack in her repertoire, which makes her enemies end their lives.

\****How they approach combat and their strategy***

Pax and Billy have extremely different ways of fighting. Pax's main and strongest ability is her voice powers, which can produce a multitude of different effects and give her a versatile fighting style. Billy, meanwhile, is much simpler: he just has a gun...

Okay, he does have some weird powers too. He can use his head to gore people, jump up and actually cause a small scale earthquake with his bat, and getting "blasted" after drinking some beer allows him to heal his wounds whenever he hits someone with his bat.

I'm not joking.

*\*****Different Relationships With Power***

Despite both possessing supernatural abilities, Billy and Pax have very different relationships with power. Billy is comparatively powerless and has to rely on his weapons, his strange Eldritch abilities, and his own determination, ultimately looking toward something far greater than himself for the power to change the world. Pax, meanwhile, already possesses an extraordinary amount of power through her voice and can directly impose her will on others with it. While Billy seeks greater power in hopes of fixing the world, Pax already has the power to change the people around her—and can ironically become controlling and authoritarian herself in the process.

"Yall Tryin' to Silence Us?" Billy vs Pax (Deadlock vs Dustborn) yes I know, I hate Dustborn too
