What’s one thing you wish you knew before starting your poop scoop business?

For me, it’s how quickly this stops being a “scooping” business and turns into an operations and customer acquisition business.

Getting a few customers isn’t that hard. Building enough recurring density to make the routes profitable is a completely different game.

You start thinking about route density, CAC, retention, pricing, Google rankings, reviews, automations, hiring, trucks, equipment, customer communication… and somewhere along the way you realize picking up dog shit might actually be the easiest part of the business. 😂

We’ve learned a TON building Scoopy Doo, and there are definitely things I would do differently if I started over tomorrow.

For those of you already operating:

What’s the biggest lesson you learned the hard way?

And for the newer guys — what’s the biggest thing you’re struggling with right now?

Could be pricing, getting the first 10 customers, ads, route density, hiring, SEO, whatever.

Curious to see where everyone is at.
