Airport parking fine

TLDR; use short term parking when picking up someone from the airport, even if they’re waiting at the pick up area.

This morning my husband received a 75 SAR fine for illegal parking at the airport yesterday. The thing is, I was picking him up and never parked. We coordinated it so that I was arriving after he was already outside the exit.

I was stuck in a line of cars that slowly crept forward, but never parked. There were only 5-6 parking spots, and they were all occupied. I only came to a full stop when he put his luggage inside the car. As we were following the line of cars towards the exit, we noticed a police officer taking pictures of license plates.

Fine was 75 SAR, less than the taxi round trip (80-90 SAR) so not the biggest thing… but it’s annoying not to have a warning. Even if the officer told me to keep moving … what could I do? I was stuck in a line
