Spiritual warfare

Please be aware that the enemy oftentimes engages in spiritual warfare by sending intrusive thoughts, even when we are in the Father's will. The same strategy applies where Christians are to take the thoughts captive. The way to differentiate between your thoughts, the Holy Spirit speaking to you or thoughts sent by the devil is to be in the Word/ read scripture daily. The Word helps us to recognize the Father's voice. Please keep these verses close to your heart at all times and say them aloud when you have intrusive thoughts :

Romans 8:1 - There is no condemnation for I am in Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 1:7 - The Father did not give me the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

The devil loves to condemn, whereas the Father convicts us gently through the Holy Spirit. An example of condemnation is feeling like you are responsible for another person's mood, behavior, etc. Please never believe the lie from the devil that we don't have agency over ourselves, the Father gave us that agency. The devil can't refute the fact that Adam and Eve willingly disobeyed God.

We can also block out intrusive thoughts by worshiping, whether that's praising God for his goodness or listening to worship music.

Another way that the enemy uses our mouth to hinder our lives is when we tell family, friends, acquaintances, and others about our plans. The enemy can use these people with and without their knowledge to act as monitoring spirits to report back. With that information, the enemy uses all sorts of ploys to hinder our future.

A sad reality that I learned firsthand - the Father can send people to be in our lives, but so can the devil. We must use discernment regarding who we accept as friends, business partners, romantic partners, etc. We need to pray and ask the Father if he approves them.

In the previous comment I mentioned praying daily to start the day. My prayers always include decreeing and declaring Psalm 91 protection over myself, my family, friends, pet, decisions, car, home etc. Then, I either read the Psalm aloud or let it play on the Bible app.
