Casual player for quite some time. Looking to get into diamond maybe masters. What should I focus on when it comes to getting over that emerald hump.

ADC main, can off role where ever support isn't. I love to play with my friends in this game and some of the for fun game modes, but I've always wanted to hit diamond or masters solo. I managed to hit i think D2-3 in flex(to me it doesn't feel the same). I've always had a wide list of champs that I know how to play due to playing a lot of the for fun modes like arams, urf, arena and such so picking up a new champ was never really a big issue to me. Where I find I lack is mostly in the early laning against double mage bot or other issues of not positioning well in team fights either I wait too long or I go in too early not being able to coordinate well with my team. not focused on mini map at all and more so focused on what's happening on my screen. I typically do pretty well when i off role in top. If i do get tilted going top or jg is a nice break from tying to climb in bot lane where i guess i can take like 40-80% of a mental stack break.

most of the champs i play right now are more favored in the meta but I wouldn't say they are top tier op.

my preference for champs right now:
ADC- Kai'sa, Cait, Lucian, Jhin and Ezreal

JG- Talon, or Zac

Top- Shen, Morde, Garen, or Malphite

mid- I don't really get auto filled here much it seems like there's too many mid lane mains in my elo

support- naut or morg bc fuck it we ball if i get autofill here
