Nipple piercing care

So I impulsively went and got my nipples pierced today. I’ve tossed the idea around for a couple of years and decided to just do it. But unfortunately I didn’t really do any kind of research before hand and my piercer didn’t really explain aftercare. What should I be doing to keep a healthy piercing? How can I prevent snagging? My worst fear is one will get ripped out lol.
