I finally built the thing I've been thinking about for years

Hello Redditors!

After thinking about starting my own business for many years, I finally took the plunge and bootstrapped and launched something of my own.

It's called Quanta Loop.

I've always felt that a lot of recyclable material gets thrown away not because nobody can use it, but because the person who has it and the person who needs it simply don't know about each other.

This seems particularly common with smaller businesses and SMEs. They may have production scraps, excess materials, packaging, etc., but finding someone who can actually use or recycle those materials can sometimes be more effort than it's worth.

So I built Quanta Loop around a fairly simple idea:

Before throwing something away, check if someone wants it.

Businesses can list materials they no longer need, while recyclers and buyers can tell the platform what materials they're looking for. When something relevant becomes available, they're notified.

We're not trying to build another EPR, carbon-credit or ESG reporting platform.

The goal is much simpler:

Help make sure recyclable material gets a chance to find a buyer or recycler before it ends up in landfill.

I've deliberately kept it simple and made it a subscription model rather than taking a commission on transactions.

I'm still very early in this journey, so I'm not here to pretend I've figured everything out.

I'd genuinely love to hear what people here think.

Does this solve a problem you've experienced? What would make something like this actually useful to you?

Would love to hear your honest feedback — good or bad.
