Better hybrid talent options

Does anyone else have a class spec that you feel like you only get its talents? Barely any points into the other 2 trees at all.

I've mainly played warrior and shaman and their talent options feel very different. While the warrior for DPS or even tanking can put a few points into arms or fury (roughly 15 for the other spec)

Resto shaman I feel can only go down the resto tree. while sure you can put a few points into enhance for the int or for totem buffs it doesn't have a strong reason to go deeper into the other tree.

I feel like elemental could have some decent options like chain heal/lightning +5% crit or maybe +1 bounce to chain lightning/heal. Or even something that gave a chance to proc heals from melee attacks in the enhancement tree. I've always like the idea of a melee class healer and I think the paladin/shaman fit that role nicely if blizzard just gave benefits to it.
