G87 m2

#Review 📝

Picked up this m2 recently, had always been the dream car for me here is my review driving on delhi roads, in monsoon. This is my first 400+HP vehicle and i was trying to find a review like this before making the purchase but there wasn’t one so here i am presenting for the next person in the same spot.
The car is much more manageable in daily driving than expected. The ground clearance is plenty provided you clear all breakers and potholes at 5kmph or under. The suspension is like a dream when you are going fast and CAN absorb majority all bumps on delhi highways.
Its a sports car with traction on and a proper drift car with traction off, the exhaust is a slight let down as many before me said too, but as a first time owner stock exhaust gave me decent amount of happiness in the beginning as i had nothing to compare it with however, grew old after like a month and now I’m planning an upgrade too.
The main questions people ask me will the BSI and warranty be affected with exhaust and mods?
Yes and no, depends on your relation with your service manager. Build a good relationship (gift a bottle or two) and you can do anything you want they will get the warranty and claims done for you no problem.
Rains in delhi is a huge problem for this car
Water is a big NO at 120mm try to avoid whatever you can, i park it at a friends if i cannot cross certain areas as the place where i live gets waterlogged :/ the car drives smooth but have to be mindful and not press too hard or else you do lose grip even with traction off
Thinking of changing the colour with a wrap as the toronto red i bought looks a little too loud for my liking tho i havent faced alot of issues with people approaching the vehicle or touching it (as my friends faced with their supercars) people are usually decent, barring some odd creta drivers and thars (jk)
Overall- i would recommend owning a suv if you want to go fast all the time, but owning a low car in a suv dominated market does have its own charm, it is not for the beginners as im beginning to understand as these cars demand patience, you cannot push down whenever somebody wants to ‘race’ or be over confident about pot holes (go over 10kmph and it will scrape almost everything)
But it is an experience which does excite you as its getting rarer and rarer to get to drive sedans and coupes now. (Or atleast for me because my other cars are all suv’s :/ sigh)
I have only gotten the first service done, bmw will try to add bs to your bill make sure to ask them to scrape it off- they were trying to charge me 12k for wheel balancing and 30k for cleaning drain pipes of the vehicle
Just unplug the drains yourself at home and avoid rain. Dont fall for expensive service components that they make sound fancy and then charge an arm and leg for it
The service was free, as it should be.
But gift your service guy something after to establish and maintain relation
Hope this is helpful to the next person looking for answers before making the purchase
