Are seafarers who take a contract on a sanctioned vessel innocent? Some seafarers may not be aware what they are getting into. They sign the contract because they have to feed their family. The Master who was recently arrested by the UK surely must have known what he was doing? People who manage the ships ashore certainly know what they are involved in. It is morally wrong to help fund Russia’s war machine. I wonder if the Ukrainians will use their secret services to exact revenge on those who helped move Russian oil and bought Russian oil for refining in the manner of Israel after the terrorist attack in Munich.
