Fuel pump priming

Mk2 2.0 petrol

I've noticed over the past few days that I can't hear the fuel pump prime when I unlock the car/open the driver's door anymore. Also it takes a second of two longer to start when cold.

Is that a sign that the low pressure pump is on it's way out, or another issue (module maybe)?
