Welcome to r/RecoverPerfectionism. Take off your heavy coat. You are safe here.
We live our lives trapped in an exhausting "all-or-nothing" (0-to-100) mindset.
If you are here, chances are your mind has been beating you up all day for everything you didn't do, everything you postponed, or every standard you feel you failed to meet. The noise in your head always tallies what you missed.
Let’s put down the invisible weight right at the door.
This is not a place for toxic positivity, forced grinding, or pretending we have it all together. This is a quiet sanctuary to catch the facts of your steps that go unseen—big or small—before they slip away.
Here is how we do things here:
- No 0-to-100 thinking: Even the smallest step was never zero. Opening the curtains, crying but not giving up, or simply showing up counts.
- No pressure: You don't have to perform. If you just need to vent without advice, use the "Just Venting" flair.
You don't have to fix everything today. Just take a breath.
What is one tiny, unedited fact about your day today? (No matter how small—drop it in the comments if you'd like, or just keep it for yourself.)
