Love the bass, hate the pickups-how to upgrade

So I'm considering buying an Ibanez BTB745. It's at a great price, and I love the neck and unamplified tone. What I don't love is either the pickups or the active EQ.

In an ideal world, my perfect tone is something like a jazz bass with a little more fatness in the bridge. I've mostly been looking at Laklands for that reason, but the price here is half of a Lakland Skyline 55-02.

Is there someone making pickups that could fit in the routs of this BTBs soapbar humbuckers that could actually be a jazz neck and a matched coil split humbucker? Any other cool pickup makers that could fit the tone I want?
