Median Posterior Root Tear

Hi im 43M, previously active. Does play basketball twice a week. Overweight currently at 196lbs. I tore my left root in April, first was diagnosed as bakers cyst but did not improve. My average steps a day is 10-12k while wearing a knee support my knee hurts at the end of the day, the limping and icing decided me to proceed with surgery.

Currently im on almost my 5th week post op, still wearing my brace set at 90degrees. Started PT on the 3rd week, my surgeon is conservative so i only do simple and non weight bearing exercises on my PT sessions.

I can say the hardest is to beat that 90 degree angle. It felt that you are tearing some of the scar tissue inside. Icing and tylenol to help me with the pain.

My ortho surgeon also put me on blood thinner extra precaution for blood clots and will take it till the 6th week.

I dont want to rush things and will take some time off work just because how demanding my work i terms of always on your knees all day.

For those who had root repair, when did you guys start walking without pain?
