Replacing lyrics in Editor

I can not get the lyrics replacing thing in Editor to work. I’m selecting the exact portion of lyrics to replace and putting the new lyrics underneath where they are supposed to go. It almost always replaces a much larger section of the song or it creates a giant section in the middle. I’ve tried everything. I’ve tried just selecting the section and doing it that way with the new lyrics but no luck. Any suggestions?
